Mr. André Paradis coordinates first cycle studies, continued education, university pedagogy, student success as well as the use of informational resources and technologies for teaching, research and management purposes. He also sees to the integrated development of academic services offered to students.
Holding a doctorate in mathematics from Université de Montréal and a Masters in computer science from Waterloo University, Mr. Paradis was a research professor at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of UQTR (from 1973 to 2000) and director of this department from 1991 to 1995. He has written numerous books and articles, presented papers to several scientific meetings and delivered many lectures. His research interests are primarily related to software engineering, database management systems, artificial intelligence and the theory of automata. Mr. Paradis has also been a consultant to several private companies.
