Creation of VPNs within the RISQ network, for key partners wishing to ensure the security and reliability of their communications.
LAN extensions
Creation of LAN extensions permitting completely transparent and controlled communications between remote sites belonging to a single institution.
Project leader for multi-institution telecommunication projects
Management of a range of multi-institution projects. RISQ's expertise and neutrality ensure interoperability of technologies and coherent oversight of multi-party projects.
Videoconferencing

QIX Tunnel
The “QIX Tunnel” service boosts RISQ members’ efficiency by reducing their commercial Internet bandwidth usage and by improving communications with homebased users and partners within the province and beyond. Read more in this PDF brochure.
Server hosting services
RISQ offers its members and qualified vendors a complete range of server hosting services in a high security IT environment, including a high throughput connection to the RISQ network.
Pilot projects, test-beds, qualification support
Project leadership and/or support for pilot projects and test-beds using RISQ infrastructure. On-demand provision of dedicated bandwidth (VPN, LightPath) and of Quality of Service consistent with the standard required for the project. Support for remote monitoring of network traffic for purposes of characterization and qualification.
Technology showcases and virtual tours
Production and hosting of technology showcases in RISQ's innovation centre. Demonstrations for visitors. Project leadership for deployment of remote-videoconference interactive virtual tours.
Optical telecommunications consulting
Analysis of optical telecommunications infrastructure needs. Planning of interconnections or of upgrades to existing infrastructure. Support in decision-making, provider selection and project management.
Independent IT consulting and expert counsel
Project leadership or provision of specific expertise in numerous specialties within IT and telecommunications. Provision of data for quantitative and qualitative studies of digital communications traffic.
